Mission of Joy Church

To glorify God and advance His kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit by winning the lost, enabling Christians to find their place in ministry, promote the unity of the Body of Christ and show mercy to all people. (Passion for Him, Compassion for them.)

Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy  Jude 22, 23a

Three-fold Purpose of Joy Church

Purpose Number 1-

Ministry to the Lord

The following expressions of the Lord's ministry shall be used to bring believers into a relationship of intimacy with the Lord Himself to hear His voice, to know His heart, to see His face to cultivate the abiding presence of the Lord in the life of the believer and in the life of the coporate body, to cultivate a life which is pleasing to the Lord.

I urge, then, first of all , that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone. (I Timothy 2:1)

I want men everywhere to life up holy hands in prayer... (I Timothy 2:8)

At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to bear the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister to Him and bless His name unto this day. (Deuteronomy 10:8)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holdy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. (Romans 12:1)

 Purpose Number 2-

Ministry to the Body

 The following expressions of the Lord's ministry shall be used in bringing believers into wholeness personally, in their families and other relationships, which shall impact the wellness and fruitfulness and joy of the corporate body.  To provide an atmosphere of loving, serving and good works, which may be expressed to other belivers, unbelivers, as well as other fellowships of belivers

My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in where are hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge.  (Colossians 2:2-3)

Be devoted to one another.  Honor one another above yourself.  (Romans 12:10)

He heals the broken hearted and binds their wounds.  (Psalm 147:3)

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.  (Matthew 9:35)

Make my joy complete by being like-minded having the same love, being one spirit and purpose.  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  (Philippians 2:2-4)

LOVING

• Service in practical measures to individuals or families at Joy Church
• Service to individuals or families outside of Joy Church
• Outreach opportunities for Joy Church to "give" to the community
• Support or join with other ministries in the area for special events.

 Purpose Number 3-

Ministry to the World

 The following expressions of the Lord's ministry shall be used in birthing new believers into the kingdom of God both locally as well as around the world, equipping believers to become effective, fruitful disciples God has called them to be and to indentify and enable believers to fulfill their calling as disciples in service and ministry.

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.  Baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything which I have commanded you.  (Matthew 28:18-20a)

It was He who gave some to be Apostles, some to be Prophets, some to be Evangelists, some to be Pastors and Teachers, to prepare God's people for work of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  (Ephesians 4:11-13)

How, then, can they call on the One of Whom they have not heard?  ANd how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can they preach unless they are sent?  As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"  (Romans 10:14-15)
