Joy Church Children's Ministry

Joy Church's Children's Ministry has undergone a great transformation recently.  With some wonderful guidance of our brother Josh Vogel, missionary to Malaysia, we have begun to embrace the "Godly Play" method of child learning. 

"...The goal of Godly Play is to teach children the art of using religious language-parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action- to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God's presence in their lives."

 Along with this approach to instilling God's word into our children, we have add a children's worship time, allowing our children to be exposed to a wonderful array of worshiping members of our body.  Each Sunday after the first few songs with the congregation, our children are allowed to go to their "worship room" where they are led in worship with music, instruments, and dance by talented members of our congregation.  This has become a favorite for all our little ones.

 In addition, we have added a craft time to each Sunday's lesson where other members of our body who are gifted in arts & crafts have a chance to impart creativity and fun into our children.  Each week they have time to express themselves through painting, coloring, clay working, puppetry or a large variety of other art activities.

We also have a fully stocked Nursery for our littlest ones, where they are exposed to music, bible stories, and LOTS of fun!!
